*Updated 6/21/23 to account for roster changes.\n

USA Basketball announced today the rosters for Team Washington DC and Team Miami, the teams set to represent USA Basketball on the 2023 FIBA 3×3 pro circuit this year.

\n

Team Miami includes Canyon Barry, Jimmer Fredette, Kareem Maddox and Dylan Travis.

\n

Team Washington DC will be represented by Robert Baker, Charlie Brown Jr., Austin Butler, Devin Cannady, Kyler Edwards, Khalil Iverson, Taze Moore and Keaton Wallace.

\n

Both teams were selected by the USA Basketball 3×3 Men’s National Team Committee.

\n

Barry, Fredette, Maddox and Travis recently represented the USA at the 2023 FIBA 3×3 World Cup, where they won the silver medal. The quartet also captured gold representing the U.S. at the 2022 FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup.

\n

Cannady will make his USA Basketball 3×3 debut, while Butler returns after competing on the World Tour and at the FIBA 3×3 U23 Nations League in 2022.

\n

Iverson and Wallace have previous World Tour and national team experience, with Wallace also competing at the 3×3 U23 Nations League last summer while Iverson was a member of the 2022 3×3 World Cup team. Brown Jr. boasts USA Basketball experience, having won gold at the 2021 FIBA 3×3 AmeriCup and representing the U.S. on the World Cup Qualifying Team (5-on-5) in November 2022.

\n

Baker, Edwards and Moore will make their USA Basketball 3×3 debuts.

\n

In May, all 12 players competed at 2023 USA Basketball 3X Nationals. Baker, Brown Jr., Iverson and Wallace captured first place with Showtime. Brown took home MVP honors in the championship run. Miami (Barry, Fredette, Maddox, Travis), Run N Gun (Cannady, Edwards, Moore) and Worldwide (Butler) also made it to at least the semifinals at 3X Nationals.

\n

Miami and Washington DC will make their first appearances at the 2023 Orléans Challenger from June 24-25 in Orléans, France. The event serves as an official qualifier for the 2023 Prague Masters, an event at which Washington DC finished third in 2022.

\n

Both teams will be participating in FIBA 3×3 World Tour events throughout the summer with the goal of qualifying for the 2023 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Final set for Dec. 8-9, 2023, in Saudi Arabia.

Different than 5-on-5, 3×3 is played on a half-court with a 10-minute game clock and 12-second shot clock. Play is continuous, as teams “clear” the ball behind the 2-point line following a made basket, defensive rebound or steal. The first team to score 21 points via 1-point field goals or 2-pointers behind the arc is victorious; or if time expires then the team leading wins.
