Despite being in the midst of a rebuild, Anthony Joshua is still a big name within the world of boxing.

Following back-to-back losses to unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, it was unknown as to whether Joshua could return to the division’s top table, but the since returning to winning ways last April against Jermaine Franklin, the former Olympian is now on a quest to face the biggest names and become a three-time world heavyweight champion.

The latest step on this journey took place on Saturday night when Anthony Joshua knocked out Robert Helenius at the O2 Arena in London.

While it was a slow start from Joshua, the British fighter gained confidence as the fight progressed and this was evident in the frequent combinations being thrown. Come the seventh round, Joshua found an opening and landed a right hand which sent Helenius tumbling to the canvas and bringing the fight to an early end.

With the fight ending in a dramatic fashion, fans are eager to see who Joshua will face next and DAZN takes a look at three possible opponents below.

Deontay Wilder

A meeting with Deontay Wilder next is looking the most likely for Anthony Joshua in what would be a huge fight in the heavyweight division between two of boxing’s biggest punchers.

Unlike the previous attempts to make this contest, there had been no approximate date or location, however, on this occasion next January and Saudi Arabia is looking like the destination if numerous sources are to be believed.

If Joshua vs. Wilder was to happen, it would be a crossroads fight. The winner will go onto challenge for world titles, while the the loser is likely to struggle when it comes to getting any fights against the biggest names at heavyweight.

Tyson Fury

Whenver anyone talks about Anthony Joshua’s career, it does not take long until the name Tyson Fury is mentioned.

This is simply a fight which has to be made. It would be one which would bring the country to a standstill and that’s just the actual contest.

There is a clear rivalry between the two and therefore the build-up will be one for the ages, but will it happen?

Joshua is always ready to challenge Fury when he is the subject to numerous call outs from the WBC world heavyweight champion, but it is always the latter who pulls the plug due to numerous reasons.

Now with Fury facing former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, this fight is looking unlikey with fans still clamouring for a Fury to meet Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed heavyweight title fight.

Oleksandr Usyk

After being beaten convincingly by Oleksandr Usyk, fans may question why Anthony Joshua should face the Ukrainian for a third time.

However, following two fights under the tutelage of Derrick James, it looks like the American trainer is hoping to blend good boxing skills with Joshua’s punch power.

If the pair can achieve this, then a third fight with Usyk would be an intriguing contest. As long as Joshua can match the unified world heavyweight champion’s slick movement around the ring, then there is chance he could get Usyk out of his comfort zone and finally put those two previous losses to one of the world’s best pound-for-pound fighters behind him.
